Do you have a high thread count?
First things first: it’s time to dispel the myth that higher thread count = higher quality!
Now that’s over with (*phew*) - our viscose from bamboo sheets have a tightly woven thread count of approximately 300, which translates to real-life softness and a silky feel. These feel better than many higher thread count cotton equivalents.
Do your bamboo sheets repel dust mites?
Although not completely impervious to bugs, sheets made of viscose from bamboo will have some benefits in reducing dust mites due to:
- the Bamboo-Kun enzyme which naturally repels bugs.
- their hypoallergenic and moisture-wicking qualities (bugs love moisture).
- their 300 thread count; this tight weave makes it difficult for bugs to penetrate the fabric.
How long do your sheets last?
While this depends on personal use and care, viscose from bamboo sheets with regular care and use can last between 5-10 years.Their low absorption of oils and moisture contribute to this lengthy life-span and may give our premium bamboo sheets an advantage over cotton sheets.
How often should I wash my bamboo sheets?
This comes down to personal preference, and may depend on a variety of factors such as the temperature of your home and whether you naturally sweat more. That being said, we tend to recommend a once-a-week wash cycle!
Do your sheets pill?
No, our sheets do not pill. Pilling usually happens when fabrics are brushed, or when they use short staple fibers. Our viscose from bamboo sheets do neither!
Are there any disadvantages of bamboo bed sheets?
Bamboo sheets will be softer and silkier than your average sheets, so if you’re not looking for this, this might be a disadvantage! (Warning: may cause extended naps).
How do I care for my sheets?
Our Premium Bamboo sheets are easy to care for: machine wash coldwithoutbleach or fabric softeners. Regular cycle. Tumble dry on low.
